The estate has sweeping lawns, tiered rose gardens, tall Italian cypress trees, blooming lavender, century old olive trees, a tennis court, tea house, children's cottage and a pool. Former royal butler Paul Burrell has also explained that the couple's choice to move to the US is all part of their plan to live a life of less scrutiny, further away from the intense media spotlight in the UK. It was for these reasons that Paul claims Harry's mother, Princess Diana, also wanted to move to LA before her untimely death.

Hope Ranch is a private community about 10 miles away from Montecito, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved in March 2020 with their son, Archie, now 3. British outlets have asserted the couple actually filmed at a separate property when they did their sit-downs on camera -- claiming they shot at another mega-mansion in Montecito that's just up the road from them, and a bit more expensive than their own pad.
